Alté Films is a streaming platform that showcases African and diaspora films to a global audience. We help films reach the right audience, support their release, and build a community around them.

 

Alté Films is built to help close that gap and put more African stories on the map. We’re creating a space where films can continue their life beyond festivals, reach the right people, and travel further than they currently do. By connecting filmmakers across Africa and the diaspora, we aim to support a stronger, more connected storytelling community.

Africa has one of the fastest growing populations in the world, with a young audience that is actively looking for stories that reflect their lives and experiences. Across the diaspora, there is also a growing desire to stay connected to African culture and storytelling. The audience is there, but the connection between filmmakers and that audience is still limited.

 

Alté Films is built on over 15 years of experience across film and television, particularly in development and content. We’ve worked on shaping projects from early stages through to release, working closely with filmmakers and understanding what it takes to get a film seen.
